Cookie Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026 · Governing law: Belgium & the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as amended)

The short version. Our website uses a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary to make the site work (Squarespace session cookies, security cookies) and, if you buy the course, a cookie to keep you logged into Thinkific. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites. We do not have Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or TikTok Pixel installed at this time.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences — like staying logged in, remembering what's in your cart, or serving the site in your language — over a period of time, so you don't have to keep re-entering them every time you come back.

Under Belgian and EU law (the ePrivacy Directive, transposed by Belgium's Electronic Communications Act), we must (a) tell you which cookies we use and why, (b) ask your consent before setting any non-essential cookies, and (c) let you withdraw that consent as easily as you gave it.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary — no consent required

These cookies are essential for the website to function. Without them, the site would not work. Under Art. 129 of the Belgian Electronic Communications Act, no consent is required for cookies whose sole purpose is the transmission of a communication or providing a service the user explicitly requested.

  • Squarespace session cookies (SS_MID, crumb) — keep your form submissions and page interactions working. Session-length; deleted when you close your browser.
  • Squarespace security cookies (test, hasCart) — CSRF protection and cart persistence. Duration: up to 1 year.

Functional — consent required, set only if you buy

  • Thinkific authentication cookies — keep you logged into the course platform. Set only after you enrol and log in. Duration: 30 days.
  • Mollie payment cookies — set on the checkout page to prevent fraud during payment. Duration: session to 1 year.

Analytics — currently NOT installed

We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we add them in future (for example, a privacy-respecting analytics tool like Plausible or Fathom, which do not use cookies at all, or a consented Squarespace Analytics), we will update this page and — where consent is required — ask you before setting them.

Advertising — never installed

We do not and will not use advertising cookies, remarketing cookies, or cross-site tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads, no TikTok Pixel).

3. Third-party cookies from embedded content

If we embed content from another platform on the site (for example, a YouTube preview of the intro lesson, or a Vimeo player), that platform may set its own cookies when you interact with the embed. Where possible, we use privacy-enhanced embed modes (e.g. youtube-nocookie.com). If we ever embed content that requires consent, we will ask for it before loading.

4. How to control cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • In your browser settings. Every major browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave) lets you view, delete, and block cookies. See aboutcookies.org for step-by-step guides. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
  • Via our consent banner (if displayed). You can withdraw consent for any non-essential cookies at any time.
  • By using a privacy-focused browser like Brave, or extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no legal consensus in Belgium or the EU on how to respond to DNT, and it does not by itself constitute a valid GDPR consent withdrawal. That said, we do not use tracking cookies regardless of your DNT setting.

6. Changes to this policy

If we add or remove cookies from our site, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
